JinYi Mold Launches Military 3D Printed Parts with Rapid Lead Times and Precision Quality

design for additive manufacturing

Introduction

JinYi Mold, a global leader in precision mold manufacturing, today introduced its Military 3D Printed Parts line. Combining design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) with advanced SLA/SLS/FDM 3D printing services and metal 3D printing for industrial use, the new offering delivers defense-grade components in 10–15 days. Backed by full-lifecycle 3D printed product development support, clients achieve 30 % cost savings and cycle reductions from 12 weeks to under 2 weeks.

1. Mission-Critical Challenges

• Traditional production: 6–12 week lead times; ¥200,000+ per 50-piece batch.

• Requirements: extreme temperature (–55 °C to 125 °C), high strength-to-weight ratio (>950 MPa tensile), complex internal coolant channels.

• Shell and enclosure parts: ideal for plastic 3D printing for enclosures with PA12 toughness >20 kJ/m².

This approach is supported by our 3D printed product development support team, ensuring design verification in under 48 hours.

2. Integrated Additive & Subtractive Manufacturing

Our engineers apply design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) to optimize topology, reducing mass by 45 % while preserving >150 MPa flexural strength. Through 3D printed product development support, JinYi Mold redesigns legacy parts to integrate lattice infills and internal flow passages. We offer plastic 3D printing for enclosures alongside CNC finishing and injection molding for hybrid assemblies via design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) consulting.

3. SLA/SLS/FDM 3D Printing Services & Materials

• SLA: optical prototypes and inspection jigs with surface roughness Ra < 5 μm.

• SLS: nylon components heat-resistant to 180 °C, Young’s modulus 2.8 GPa.

• FDM: concept models at 150 cm³/hour.

We complement SLA/SLS/FDM 3D printing services with hands-on 3D printed product development support for assembly validation. These services guarantee ±0.1 mm accuracy on builds up to 400×400×500 mm.

4. Metal 3D Printing for Industrial Use

Our SLM/DMLS lines produce Ti6Al4V and 316L stainless-steel parts at >99.5 % density, yield >480 MPa. Using metal 3D printing for industrial use, we deliver brackets and heat sinks in 12 days versus 8 weeks conventionally. Unlike metal 3D printing for industrial use, plastic 3D printing for enclosures provides economical housings ready in days.

5. Validation & Quality Assurance

• Material certification: ISO 6158 traceability, tensile/fatigue test reports.

• In-line monitoring: digital layer scans and CT imaging.

• Post-process: CMM inspection, surface finishing, heat treatment.

• Environmental tests: vibration (20 g RMS), salt spray (96 h), thermal cycling.

All protocols ensure compliance with MIL-STD-810G and customer specifications.

6. After-Sales & Support

We provide rapid prototypes in 24 h and low-volume production (50–500 units) in 15 days. Our 3D printed product development support, paired with design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) workshops, drives repeatable success. From single repair parts to complex assemblies, clients reduce development cycles by 40 %.
