It integrates DFM-driven design, Moldflow simulation optimization, and practical experience with large injection molding parts to achieve stable filling and precise warping control, ensuring a Class-A surface finish.     This mold is specially designed by JinYi Mold for large-scale production projects of front and rear bumpers of passenger cars, and has successfully served many overseas customer projects. In view of the bumper's large size (1600–1900 mm), long flow channels, and extremely stringent Class A surface requirements, this mold combines DFM-driven design, mold flow analysis and optimization, and practical experience in large-scale injection molding parts. It is committed to solving core problems such as long flow channel filling, integrated sensor area processing, and large surface deformation control, ensuring stable assembly consistency and meeting short-cycle mass production needs.

    With a dedicated large-scale mold workshop, high-precision steel processing capabilities, and an engineering team of more than 500 people, JinYi Mold provides comprehensive process solutions from feasibility analysis to mass production support. We use high-strength steel materials such as ASSAB 8407 (mold core) and 2316 (mold cavity). The design life of the mold can support the production needs of 300,000 to 800,000 molds. We use 1200-2500 ton injection molding machines for verification and production to provide customers with flexible and stable mass production guarantees for their diverse models.

    Key points of engineering technology

    • Simulation-driven design optimization: 

      Optimize gate size/position, parting line and wall thickness transition zone through DFM review; use mold flow analysis (Moldflow) to optimize flow balance and holding pressure under long runner geometry, and control temperature variation within ±2–3°C to minimize warpage deformation.

    • Complex mold structure for large parts: 

      The mold adopts a two-point structure and is equipped with a multi-point valve hot runner system to achieve smooth filling. The key innovation lies in the inclusion of 45–60 groups of parallel and conformal channel cooling circuits, combined with the design of interchangeable inserts for license plate areas, sensor brackets and other areas, achieving efficient cooling and flexibility in adapting to multiple models.

    • Precision and surface control: 

      A balanced ejection system layout is adopted to reduce deformation of thin-walled sections; through high-speed processing and multi-stage polishing, a uniform gloss and defect-free Class A surface is achieved in a wide visible area, and the flatness can be controlled to ≤0.4 mm before leaving the factory.

    • Structured mold trial: 

      Perform multiple rounds of mold trials from T0 to T3 to continuously optimize the process, with the goal of shortening the production cycle by 15–18%.

    • Full-scale digital inspection: 

      Use a three-dimensional coordinate measuring machine (CMM) to perform full-scale report analysis on samples containing 100–200 measurement points.

    • Surface and assembly verification: 

      Professional inspection of surface gloss, texture and weld line quality, and assembly fit inspection on OEM tooling fixtures.
